Grandma, what "phat lewtz" you DIDN'T have...

The better to fail to own us with.

The Big Bad Wolf was a disappointment in loot, but was a welcome sight because it was the only stage event we hadn't seen. All of these stage events are entertaining in their own right though, and the opening click-to-start text of Grandma to start the event is just hilarious.

As we continue on through Karazhan I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the encounter design. Maybe it's because it is a 10 man raiding zone, but these encounters become way too easy depending on the group make-up.

Take for example our next two kills: The Curator and Shade of Aran.

Curator Hard Mode: Take all melee dps and watch one of the dumbest games of chase the bouncing ball you have ever seen, and multiply your healing needs five-fold.

Curator Easy Mode: Take all ranged dps, lowering your healing needs a ton, and blowing up the curator in short order.

Now, if you've chosen to stack your raid with all ranged dps and have beaten the curator, you'll move up to Shade of Aran and wipe. And wipe. And wipe. This encounter is the exact opposite of the Curator in that if you bring more melee dps capable of interrupting Aran's casts, the fight will become pathetically simple. My ideal Aran kill group would probably consist of 10 shamans. He'd never cast a single spell, chain heal would fire off repeatedly, during the elemental phase they'd drop 10 fire elementals and straight out kill the 4 adds, and bloodlust would be up for 200 straight seconds. Hell, he'd probably not even agro and just say, "Here, take the damn journal and go. Just go."

Oh we killed the Curator btw, but Margug's pants ran Brade out of the killshot.
